The ACI Dealing Certificate is a foundation programme that allows candidates to acquire a working knowledge of the structure and operation of the major foreign exchange and money markets, including the ability to apply the fundamental mathematics used in these markets, and their core products (cash, forwards and derivatives) as well as the relevant basic skills for competent participation in these markets operations. Candidates should also be able to apply The Model Code to their situation. The ACI Dealing Certificate is a prerequisite to the ACI Diploma.

In cooperation with the two lecturers, Mr Jean-Pierre Doumont and Mr David Missenard, ATTF proposed to its partners in Bulgaria (Association of Banks in Bulgaria & International Banking Institute), in Macedonia (Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Macedonia), in Moldova (ABM Consulting, Financial-Banking Training and Consultancy Center of the Banks Association of Moldova) and in Romania (Romanian Banking Institute) a programme based on a method of original and adapted preparation.

The method consists of :

• A session divided into two parts (2 x 5 days) to allow the candidates to assimilate the topics and to better understand their various aspects.
• Preparation courses punctuated with intermediate tests and summaries followed by corrections and detailed personalized evaluations.
• A two-headed « coaching » to increase the possibilities of work in sub-groups, to instigate the presentation and to diversify the approaches and experiments.
• A permanent contact with the candidates between and after the sessions through individual emails.
• A « teamwork » approach to stimulate the candidates and to promote the links among them.

The Romanian Banking Institute (RBI) kindly accepted to host this programme in Bucharest and to organize it in cooperation with ATTF.
