The Implementation of COBIT19 and How to Audit the IT Master Plan, IT Strategy & Governance, AI & IT Indicators
BankingDescription
Introduction
The COBIT 2019 framework offers a modern approach to enterprise governance and the management of Information and Technology (I&T). It provides practitioners with the processes and tools necessary to minimise risks, create value, effectively utilise enterprise resources, and achieve business objectives. The framework is built on two sets of principles: one that shapes enterprise governance systems and another that outlines the requirements for governance systems.
Objectives
The role of internal auditors within this framework includes assessing the alignment of COBIT with other standards and frameworks, understanding governance principles, and recognising the benefits of using COBIT as a governance framework. Auditors are responsible for understanding COBIT's Product Architecture Framework, the components of a successful governance system, the structure of the Goal Cascade, and the 40 Governance and Management Objectives. They must also differentiate performance management using maturity and capability perspectives and adapt governance systems using COBIT.
By the end of the training sessions, IT auditors will understand the importance of aligning with enterprise objectives to provide effective assurance and add value. They will learn how COBIT 2019 helps gain insights to maximise the value derived from Information Technology, understand indicators and accountability, and recommend appropriate IT policies. Additionally, they will be equipped to effectively use COBIT 2019 to design appropriate IT audit plans and audit the IT Master Plan, including AI strategies.
