Train the Trainer

Personal Development

Description

Introduction

Through its training courses, the House of Training - ATTF seeks both genuine impact and sustainability. Whilst almost all its courses are delivered by its own trainers, in some cases the House of Training – ATTF may also be able to take a step further and provide “Train the Trainer” support to partner countries.

Due to the significantly greater involvement required by the partner and the prerequisite for the partner to have a concrete project underlying the request, the House of Training requires that any request for such support to be discussed with them directly. i.e. as part of the annual needs gathering process for eligible countries.

Objectives

The objectives of such missions are typically:

  • For the participants to understand and support the objectives of the partner country’s initiative to create an academy or programme of “own trainings”.
  • Learn and / or validate practical skills and techniques for teaching vocational knowledge and skills to adults both online and face-to-face.
  • To equip trainers with the fundamental skills necessary to organise and themselves to either build or adapt training materials for delivery by them in their own financial sector.
  • To help build “trainer communities”.

Programme
  • Interactive training workshops and presentations, organised both online and in situ.
  • Participants are required to form subgroups around concrete training topics and to work on development of these courses as part of this course.
  • Coursework and preparation is also required between sessions.
  • Participants will also prepare for and make their own presentations based upon their future modules).

For further details please contact the House of Training.

Target Audience
  • ATTF partner countries, selected by the Luxembourg government as being eligible for training in their own countries.
  • Train the trainer support is only open to partner countries with the strong ambition and ability to organise and support such an initiative.
  • They must also have a formal initiative in place to create their own training academy and develop local trainers to deliver training in their own market.
